BLOG ME

1. Create a blog post about how social media has helped families, social workers, and the government in discerning information during calamities. In times of calamities such as typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and other disasters, social media has become a very important tool in sharing and getting information. Platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), and Messenger help families, social workers, and the government respond faster and more effectively during emergencies. For families, social media helps them check on the safety of their loved ones. A simple post or message can let relatives know that someone is safe. Families can also ask for help, share their location, and receive updates about evacuation centers, relief goods, and safe routes. This reduces fear and confusion during disasters. For social workers and volunteers, social media is useful in identifying people who need help. They can see posts from affected communities, requests for rescue, food, water, and medical assistance. DAY 20 OF JDVP TRAINING

Image
Miss Irene told us to bring rice and said that no one should be absent. After we arrived at school, we cleaned the room and applied floor wax. We returned the tools and materials we used during the training. After that, Miss Leah instructed us to transfer the PCs, monitors, keyboards, and other equipment to the room we cleaned, which then became our computer lab. We fixed the electrical connections so the computers could be powered on. After everything was done, we ate together with our trainer.

PRE-ASESSEMENT

During our pre-assessment, I arrived at 6:19 AM. We were given individual hands-on tasks for COC 1 to COC 4. We followed the guide provided by our trainer and followed the instructions based on our assigned class (A, B, or C). After that, we did cabling so it could be used by the others, and we arranged it on the patch panel so it can be used next time.

DAY 18 OF JDVP TRAINING

Image
I arrived at 7:24 AM. The first thing we did was continue configuring COC 1 to COC 4. Some of my classmates were still configuring, while we focused on cabling for our assessment for everyone. We were not able to finish the cabling because some materials were still lacking. Then our teacher asked us to sign a simple attendance sheet, which serves as our attendance record starting from Day 1. After that, we continued configuring COC 1 to COC 4.

DAY 17 OF JDVP TRAINING

Image
I arrived at 7:24 AM. The first thing we did was allow some of our classmates who had not yet done hands-on activities to do so. Then Miss Irene asked us to write an essay about our journey in CSS, including our realizations and reflections on the challenges we faced during our JDVP training. After that, we helped and taught our classmates who were not yet familiar with the tasks. What I can say is that we can handle everything—challenges in our lives are there to shape and prepare us all.

DAY 16 OF JDVP TRAINING

Image
I arrived at 7:34. The first thing we did was the same as what we did yesterday, which was configuring COC 1 to COC 4. I also taught those who still didn’t know or weren’t yet good at it. What I can say is that no matter how hard it is, we can all handle this because this is for our future.

DAY 15 OF JDVP TRAINING

I arrived at 7:20 AM. The first thing we did was the same as usual—we continued configuring COC 1 to COC 4. After I finished, the others also completed their tasks. After that, we filled out the forms for the assessment to see if we would receive the NC II. What I can say is that we should always keep going, because this is for our future.
